LCD Swivels into the Forefront
LCD flat screens are more flexible than monitors that came before them. While computer displays used to be heavy and stationary, LCD displays stand apart from the rest. Flat panel LCD monitors can swivel from side to side, tilt up or down, and they can be mounted on a wall.
New flat panel PC monitors are also much less harmful to your eyes than old CRTs were, and they use considerably less power. LCD can also display high definition, while other displays are limited to standard definition.
With the introduction of LCD displays, the road was paved for more advanced graphics cards and gaming software that could not be fully observed and appreciated before. With the recent wave of high definition media becoming available, LCD is considered the premier display for computers and televisions.
